Explore the Best of Zambia through this unique and exciting safari which starts at the Southern end of the Great Rift Valley and follows the wildly meandering Luangwa River with its staggeringly beautiful bird-filled lagoons.
Wildlife is abundant in the Luangwa valley where the endemic Thornicroft giraffe, puku, elephant, lion and leopard are easily viewed. After 8 nights in this glorious paradise you’ll travel down to the Lower Zambezi National Park where ancient forests rise up to meet a densely vegetated escarpment.
Stay in charming, rustic camps that offer great food, warm hospitality and the comforts of home without being overly fussy – untamed Africa at its best! Your last night is spent on the Zambian side of Africa’s adventure playground – the world famous Victoria Falls!
After a warm welcome at Lusaka airport, you take a short flight to the small and quaint Mfuwe airport, the gateway to the safari district.
Early morning wake up calls are followed by a light breakfast of toast and oatmeal cooked on an open fire while watching the first rays of the sun paint the Luangwa Valley pink.
After breakfast you take the scenic route to get to Nsefu camp, viewing wildlife along the way.
En route from Nsefu back to Mfuwe you have the opportunity to stop in at Tribal Textiles, a fantastic community project with plenty of crafts to buy.
Depart the Lower Zambezi for your flight to Livingstone where you will be taken to Stanley Safari Lodge for your last two nights on the doorstep of the thundering Victoria Falls.
Depart from Livingstone International airport for your own onward arrangements.
