From the scenic mountains and beaches of the Cape, your journey crosses South Africa to the east and to the beautiful Mpumalanga province –home to the Kruger National Park and surrounding wildlife reserves. Experience the excitement of staying in a luxurious game lodge and going on game drives photographing the ‘Big five’ and various other animals. A short stay on the Sabi River, nearby the quaint town of Hazyview allows you the opportunity to enjoy elephant back rides, helicopter flights over the world’s third largest canyon, hot air ballooning and numerous other cultural and adventure activities.

Arrive off your flight to Cape Town and be collected by private transfer and taken from the airport to the Victoria & Alfred hotel at the Cape Town Waterfront.

Day 2-3

One of your days in the beautiful Cape includes a privately guided tour through the highlights of the area.

After a leisurely breakfast you will be collected for your privately guided tour of Cape Town city and Table Mountain. Your knowledgeable guide is an expert on the areas you will be visiting, namely the Cape Malay quarter, SA Museum, Two Oceans Aquarium and Signal Hill to name a few. The remainder of your time in Cape Town will be spent at your leisure and you may enjoy the shopping and cultural experiences or an adventure activity such as shark cage diving, paragliding, mountain biking, rock climbing or hiking.
Day 4-5
Franschhoek Country House & Spa, Franschhoek

After a leisurely breakfast your guide will take you by the scenic route through the gorgeous landscape and wine lands to the little town of Franschhoek.

Spend two luxurious days and indulge in one of the towns many fantastic and world-class restaurants. Visit the wine estates where you can sample some award winning wines and even have them shipped internationally! Franschhoek’s main pastime is wine tasting but the possibility of horse-riding, picnics, cycling, hot air ballooning or hiking is available too.
Day 6-8
Kapama Buffalo Camp, Greater Kruger National Park

An early transfer enables you to get to the airport for your flight to Hoedspruit and the heart of big 5 game viewing and luxury game lodges!

You will be met at the airport in Hoedspruit and taken to Kapama Buffalo Camp where you have the opportunity to settle in before your first afternoon activity. Game drives and bush walks are done in the mornings and late afternoons with plenty of time for a midday siesta, dip in the pool or some shopping in the lodge gift store. Kapama is a private reserve that is open to the ‘big five’ so the possibilities of seeing lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino are very good. Meals are varied and delicious and dinners are typically a starlit affair.
Day 9-10
Rissington Inn, Hazyview

After a morning activity and early breakfast a guide will collect you to take you on the Panorama tour – a scenic drive through the rolling hills of the Mpumalanga escarpment viewing waterfalls and craft stores en route.

Arrive at Rissington and enjoy a refreshing drink on the veranda that overlooks the manicured gardens that surround your room. Rissington is known for its high service levels and fantastic restaurant, where the chef cooks with creativity and flair! Activities in the area include scenic helicopter flights, zip-lining, shopping for crafts and elephant back rides.
Day 11
Departure Day

You are transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and bid farewell to your sensational South African safari.
